Female Rhino Ratsnake

Proven Breeder Rhino Rats

Last week, I acquired a proven pair of Rhino Ratsnakes (Gonyosoma boulengeri) from Ryan Ferrell, a local breeder I've known and dealt with for years now. Ryan produced a clutch from these two this year. They came from Russell Dabritz, and I'm excited to have the chance to breed this species.

This species is known for their "rhino" nose and rewarding ontogenetic color change as they age. They're often born a muted brown, and turn to a gorgeous green as they mature. The species also has a reputation for being notoriously difficult to eat readily available prey, but there's been much success as more captive bred generations appear.
